HAPPY U.S.M.C. BIRTHDAY!!
Happy United States Marine Corps Birthday!!! I am proud to be a Marine's Wife!!!Semper Fi!!!
HELLO 2013
Honestly, I am one of those persons who don’t make a big deal out of New Year nor New Year’s Eve. I spent Most of New Year’s Eves getting my beauty sleep despite the deafening sounds of fireworks thrown into the air.
But this New Year’s Eve, I couldn’t get my eyes shut [thanks to Caffeinated Tylenol I took earlier this afternoon] and all these bursting fireworks clearly visible from the porch of my 22nd floor apartment were too beautiful to pass. So I set up my tripod and began taking pictures of them.
I actually had a hard time aiming the focus because those fireworks came from all directions. The shows lasted hours but the most amazing ones came around 12:00AM to 12:15AM on the first day of January 2013.
After that: nearly silence. Only the city lights remained. And I asked myself: what have I accomplished in 2012? What’s my resolution in 2013?
REVISITING SINGAPORE

This is my third visit to Singapore since returning to Indonesia. And every time I visited Singapore, the weather was not friendly at all, heavy rain pouring the whole time I was there. I guess I have a bad luck visiting this country, eh?
... and yes, this time I have a picture of myself sitting by the famous Marina Bay Sand's infinity pool. Photo was taken by my co-worker.
QUIET AT LAST!
Finally, a quiet night at last! After a whole week filled with deafening music and loud speeches blasting from the campaigns of governor candidates that lasted almost 24-hours a day, we finally will have some rests tonight. What a relief!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JAKARTA!
Despite being voted as one of the world’s 10 most hated cities, Jakarta is the city where I was born and raised, so I love this city, always.
So, happy 485th birthday, Jakarta!!
PROJECT 52 - # 24 | NIGHT LIGHTS
This week’s theme [Night Light] coincides with the announcement of world’s 10 most hated cities in which Jakarta was selected as one of them. Surprising? Not really. Even by reading the title, I immediately knew that Jakarta would be listed there. With constant bad traffics, rude people and pollutions [both water and air], Jakarta easily falls into this category. It’s a sad and embarrassing fact, but it’s the fact nonetheless [whether you like it or not]. If you (any Jakarta residents who read this) disagree, then I have to say that you are in complete denial.
Let’s just hope (fingers crossed) that this selection will raise conscience of Jakarta inhabitants [including me] to start doing something to make this [supposedly] beautiful city a better place to live in and to visit [we still want foreign tourists to come here, right?].
